Pounamu Kahurangi necklace
$420.00
This Pounamu Kahurangi necklace is a beautifully crafted Taonga (treasure) shaped from genuine Pounamu (New Zealand greenstone) sourced from Te Waipounamu (The South Island) of Aotearoa (New Zealand). Measuring 100 mm by 40 mm, it is suspended from a hand‑plaited, adjustable wax cord designed for comfort and everyday wear.
Your Taonga (treasure) is presented in a black leather‑bound box with a matching black leather pad, making it ideal for gifting or safekeeping.
This Pounamu has been blessed by the carver of Dot Arts, ensuring it carries intention, protection, and Wairua (spirit/essence).
Meaning of Karakia (Blessing)
A Karakia (incantation/prayer) is spoken to honour the Mauri (life force) of the stone, acknowledge its journey from the Whenua (land), and set intentions of Aroha (love/compassion), Kaha (strength), and Tiaki (protection/guardianship) for the wearer. Through Karakia, the Taonga becomes more than an adornment — it becomes a companion carrying guidance, connection, and spiritual grounding.
